I’m proud to announce the release of The Sensitive Human (9th November 2017). It tells the story of the biggest battle I have faced so far in my life, and how I overcame a negative prognosis apparently against the odds. This is my most challenging book yet, and with a word count of over 70 000, the book has ended up being 316 pages long. Together with my story and research, there’s a whole recipe book worth of recipes in there too – but this time they’re not just food recipes, there’s also homemade perfumes, creams and cleaning solutions too.
The Sensitive Human Amazon description:
The sudden onset of chronic tinnitus sets the author off on a journey which takes the reader in hot pursuit – underneath sinks, delving into medicine cupboards, frantically searching through make-up boxes, rooting out vegetables and racing through strawberry fields, on a meandering trail of shocking misfortune.
What the author discovers will horrify and surprise you. What’s in this book is what’s in your house, and it’s bad for you.
The Sensitive Human is a wake-up call with warnings reminiscent of Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring. In 1962 Carson wrote that the elimination of all unnecessary chemical carcinogens would greatly mitigate the threat that one in every four will develop cancer. This projection now stands at one in every two people in the UK developing cancer at some point in their lives.
The author shares her journey to finding the root cause and recovering from an affliction for which she was told by health professionals there was no miracle cure. An inspiring and informative read for anyone seeking to recover optimum health, whatever the symptoms of malaise may be.
The book includes delicious recipes such as healthy curries, salads and summer and winter muesli, reminding us that nature has everything we need to nourish our mind, body and soul. The beautiful homemade perfumes, natural bath bombs, hand creams and essential oils advice are a delightful bonus, making this not only an enlightening story, but also a useful reference guide to return to again and again.
