It’s just as cheap to cheat a little when making this quick easy Halloween cake, by buying two ready-made long Swiss rolls to use as your cake. Then all you have to do is make up a couple of batches of simple butter icing and mould up a small packet of ready made pink icing into scary fingers. You can decorate this however you like – we like to use strawberry laces sticking out here and there in the arm part of the cake to look like creepy veins, but it all depends on what sweets and decorations you have to hand.
Pound shops are a goldmine for all sorts of decorations, and the supermarkets come up with new scary Halloween sweets every year.
The main thing is, you won’t have to slave over a stove to make this cake, and this means that it can easily be made by kids too.
