Retro Northern Irish recipe for Orange Apple Pie from an old Belfast Cooking by Electricity cookbook compiled ‘by the Board’s demonstrators’ (undated). The pie pastry is made by substituting the usual water with diluting orange juice. The apple slice filling is covered with a mix of butter, sugar, ground almonds, egg, flour mixed with a little more diluting orange. The orange apple pie is topped with pastry and baked for half an hour.
